IBS SIGNS DEAL WITH ASIANA CARGO

IT specialist IBS Software has signed a 10-year contract with Asiana Cargo to implement its iCargo solution to manage the end-to-end cargo functions for the South Korean carrier.

 

According to IBS, iCargo will bring the full scope of Asiana Cargo’s business operations, such as sales, revenue accounting, ULD management, mail management and mail revenue accounting, under a single platform.

 

“This selection by Asiana Airlines highlights IBS’ ability to conceptualize and build industry leading global solutions which bring tangible business benefits,” said Rajiv Shah, CEO of IBS Software. “IBS continues to invest in innovative offerings for the airline industry to ensure that our customers stay ahead in this disruptive environment. This partnership with Asiana is also a testament to our commitment to the Korean market as we continue to expand our presence in East Asia.”

 

The new platform will be an upgrade from Asiana’s existing home-grown legacy core system, and will enable access to features such as revenue and yield management, product management and real-time shipment monitoring. Asiana will also be able to align itself with best practices and standards such as eAWB and CXML.

Asiana Cargo joins the IBS Cargo Community, which consists of more than 20 players in the air cargo industry, including airlines, ground handlers and terminal operators.
