Lufthansa Cargo has announced the adjusted schedule of its frieghter services to and from mainland China in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

In a statement, Lufthansa said it will operate according to a special schedule as the passenger airlines of the Lufthansa Group have suspended their flights to and from China — excluding Hong Kong — until 9 February 2020.

"As a result, the belly capacities of these flights are unfortunately not available for air cargo. However, flights to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKG) will continue to operate as scheduled," it said.

Meanwhile, Lufthansa Cargo's freighter aircraft from and to the Chinese mainland will "operate exclusively" according to a special flight schedule.

It listed several frequencies between Frankfurt (FRA) and Shanghai Pudong (PVG) via Novosibirsk (OVB) in Russia, utilizing its Boeing 777-F.

The flights are as follows, with all times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC):

FRA 10:55 – PVG 23:20 (via OVB)

Lufthansa said further flights are under review and are expected to be published Feb. 4.

It also said that until further notice, live animals will no longer be accepted for carriage on routes to and from China (mainland).

"Freighter flights to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and all other worldwide destinations will continue to operate as scheduled," Lufthansa said.
