EMIRATES SKYCARGO NAMES NEW CARGO MANAGER FOR INDIA
July 6, 2020

Emirates SkyCargo has appointed a new cargo manager for India to oversee all commercial and operational aspects of the Emirates SkyCargo.

In a statement, the cargo airline said Abdulla Alkhallafi was appointed to the position and will be based in Delhi to look after one of the carrier's most important markets globally.

Alkhallafi will be replacing Keki Patel, who will be retiring after more than 15 years as cargo manager for Emirates in India.

Prior to this appointment, Alkhallafi was previously the cargo manager for North India, also for Emirates from June 2017. He joined Emirates in 2014.

India is one of Emirates SkyCargo's main markets. In 2019, the freighter moved more than 250,000 tonnes of exports and imports to and from India. It is also the largest origin markets for pharmaceuticals for Emirates SkyCargo.

Meanwhile, more than 5,000 tonnes of fruits, vegetables and other produce from India are flown by Emirates SkyCargo to markets in the Middle East and Europe.
