CB Customs Broker and heyworld, both subsidiaries of Lufthansa Cargo, will consolidate operations into a single company starting January 1, 2026, combining their expertise in customs brokerage and e-commerce logistics to streamline services and strengthen their market position.
CB Customs Broker specializes in all areas related to EU customs clearance; heyworld is a digital logistics platform for cross-border eCommerce transport solutions.
In the announcement, Lufthansa Cargo said the goal of the merger is to unite complementary capabilities and create a unique one-stop offering for cross-border logistics solutions at parcel level.
Customers handling large volumes of cross-border parcels will have access to expanded services and deeper operational expertise under the newly combined company.
Tailored logistics services will combine advanced customs brokerage with cross-border transport solutions and seamless digital integration and the approach will improve speed, transparency, and efficiency across the entire supply chain.
"The merger of CB Customs Broker and heyworld represents a key milestone in our strategic ambition of developing beyond airport-to-airport solutions. By combining their complementary strengths and expertise, we are creating a unique offering in the field of cross-border parcel logistics - one that further enhances our market position and enables us to serve customers with even greater value and precision," said Ashwin Bhat, CEO Lufthansa Cargo AG.
"Over the past years, both companies have made valuable contributions to Lufthansa Cargo’s success and growth in this dynamic segment, driven by their entrepreneurship and innovative spirit."
The new company will be jointly led by Murat Odabas, managing director of CB Customs Broker, and Nikola Todic, managing director of heyworld GmbH.
"I'm looking forward to bringing both teams together to ensure seamless business continuity and to further develop tailored and innovative logistics solutions for our customers," said Odabas.
Todic, for his part, noted that combining strengths will allow the two companies to deliver smarter, more integrated services while driving innovation and efficiency across borders.
The Executive Board of Lufthansa Cargo expresses its sincere appreciation to Uwe Glunz, managing director of CB Customs Broker, and Boris Hueske, managing director of heyworld GmbH, for their dedicated service and significant contributions in the past years.
Both executives will continue their journey within the Lufthansa Cargo Group by taking on new roles.
