CMA CGM has suspended all new bookings to a wide range of Middle East ports with immediate effect, citing escalating regional developments and the need to safeguard crews, vessels and customer cargo.
In an advisory issued on March 3, the carrier said the suspension applies to all ports in Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, as well as most ports in the United Arab Emirates, excluding Fujairah and Khor Fakkan.
In Saudi Arabia, bookings are halted for all ports except Jeddah, King Abdallah Port, Yanbu and NEOM.
The suspension also covers Iraq's port of Umm Qasr.
CMA CGM described the move as a precautionary measure taken "under the current circumstances."
The company said customers with containers already on board or ready to load will receive shipment‑specific updates directly from local offices.
The group added that it remains committed to maintaining service continuity where possible and is closely monitoring the situation.
"Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to keep you informed of any significant developments," the advisory said.
The suspension remains in place until further notice.
