EMIRATES OPERATES REDUCED SCHEDULE AS REGIONAL AIRSPACE GRADUALLY REOPENS

Emirates is operating a reduced flight schedule following the partial reopening of regional airspace, with the airline confirming that limited operations will continue until further notice.

For March 5 and 6, Emirates is operating more than 100 flights departing from and returning to Dubai, carrying passengers to their onward destinations and transporting essential cargo such as perishables and pharmaceuticals.

The airline says it will gradually rebuild its flying program as airspace availability improves and operational requirements are met. Safety remains the primary consideration, and Emirates continues to monitor conditions closely and adjust its schedule as needed.

Flights were halted starting late last month after widespread regional airspace closures triggered by escalating conflict in the Middle East. Multiple countries — including Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Israel, Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar — shut their airspace following U.S.–Israel strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory attacks, creating large no‑fly zones across the region.

This led to the temporary suspension of all commercial traffic through major hubs such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with airlines cancelling or rerouting flights until conditions stabilized.
