The sum of maximum takeoff weights (or MTOWs) reached approximately 2.6 million metric tons, 2.9% more than in the corresponding month of 2024.

August's cargo volume at Frankfurt Airport was also slightly higher than the 174,262 metric tons recorded in June, but lower than the 178,977 metric tons of airfreight and airmail volumes reported in May.

Last month's performance is also better than the 169,563 metric tons recorded in April, the 152,069 metric tonnes in February, and the 148,321 metric tonnes recorded by the airport in January. August's cargo performance was also lower than March's peak of 184,679 metric tonnes.
