ECS MARKS SIX-MONTH MILESTONE IN JETSMART CARGO ROLLOUT IN SOUTH AMERICA
September 15, 2025

ECS Group has marked six months of growth with South America's ultra-low-cost airline group, JetSMART. Following their four-year Total Cargo Management (TCM) contract, ECS said it now oversees over 25,000 annual flights for JetSMART's four AOCs (Chile, Colombia, Peru, Argentina).

A team of 25 ECS Group specialists has set up the commercial and technical framework needed to support cargo operations across eight countries and 14 key destinations, including Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Medellín, and Montevideo.

A centralized digital Control Tower in San José, Costa Rica, monitors JetSMART's A320/A321 fleet, supporting regulatory compliance and day-to-day operational oversight.

ECS Group uses platforms such as Apollo, Quantum, and CargoAi to provide freight forwarders with real-time data and access to domestic and international cargo routes.

Its Total Cargo Management model extends beyond standard GSA responsibilities, incorporating ramp operations, security coordination, and on-site audits through its partnership with TCE to standardize procedures across the network.

"JetSMART and ECS Group's shared vision is to open the entire airline network for cargo by end-2025, supported by more than 25 pending interline agreements to power global connectivity to the United States, Europe, and Asia," the announcement said.

It added that in 2026, ECS Group plans to drive e-commerce growth through regional warehousing, a new express product offering, and strategic alliances.
