MAERSK WARNS OF SERVICE DISRUPTION IN UAE, OMAN AND QATAR
March 2, 2026

Maersk has warned customers of potential disruption to its operations in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Qatar as escalating military tensions in the Middle East prompt precautionary closures and delays across the region.

In a customer advisory, the carrier said it is closely monitoring the security situation and coordinating with its partners, stressing that the safety of staff, assets and cargo remains its top priority.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and take all needed actions,” the company said.

Maersk confirmed that its warehousing facilities in the UAE will be closed on 2 March as a precautionary measure following government shelter guidance.

The company added that airline and landside partners in the region are also experiencing service disruptions, which may have a knock‑on effect on Maersk’s wider operations.

Offices in the UAE, Oman and Qatar will remain closed to all but essential staff until further notice, in line with local government instructions. Despite the closures, Maersk said teams remain fully available online and by phone, and contingency plans have been activated to minimise supply chain impact.

“We understand that this situation may be inconvenient, and we are committed to minimising the impact on our customers’ supply chains,” the advisory said.
