ROBERT BRYANS JOINS CORE POWER
February 12, 2024

Robert Bryans has joined the growing CORE POWER team in Washington, D.C., as vice president of government relations and strategic alliances.

CORE POWER — which builds a market for new nuclear in maritime and delivers marine-appropriate reactor plants for heavy industry and transport — said Bryans is a senior US maritime strategist and systems engineering expert.

Prior to this appointment, Bryans worked in the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission as chief of staff, advancing nuclear policy decisions in the US and overseas.

CORE POWER noted that this appointment will support the company's mission in the application of advanced nuclear technology for heavy industry and transport.

"We're excited to add Robert Bryans to COREPOWER's US-based team, where his background and skill sets will boost our ability to reach and educate key government and industry representatives," said Mikal Bøe, chief executive officer of CORE POWER.

"His impressive maritime, international relations and strategy credentials are also important to our overall mission of bringing dependable, climate-proof nuclear energy solutions to the maritime industry," Bøe added.

Bryans, for his part, noted that the maritime application of advanced nuclear reactors requires an important systems-of-systems framework.

"I look forward to using my systems engineering background, seagoing experience, and work at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission to help CORE POWER achieve these important goals," he said.
