AD PORTS GROUP MAKES KEY APPOINTMENTS TO STRENGTHEN ITS LOGISTICS CLUSTER

AD Ports Group (AD Ports) has announced a series of senior executive appointments within its Logistics Cluster as it works to strengthen its global logistics offering. The appointments come shortly after Jochen Thewes was named CEO of the Cluster.

The appointments support the Group's efforts to further develop its Logistics Cluster, building on the foundations and global footprint established through its logistic arm, Noatum Logistics which provides freight forwarding, contract logistics, and supply‑chain services through a global network that includes operations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

Global leadership appointments

To drive the next phase of global product growth, Thorsten Meincke has joined Noatum Logistics as executive vice president for Ocean and Air Freight. He brings more than 20 years of international experience, including service as COO and Management Board Member at DB Schenker and holding senior roles at Kuehne+Nagel in global sea freight, sales, and marketing.

 

He is joined by Björn Eckbauer, appointed as senior vice president of Global Air Freight Development and Procurement, who brings over three decades of air freight experience, most recently leading global air freight operations and procurement at DB Schenker.

 

Also joining the team is Boris Kuehn, senior vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions, who adds extensive experience in M&A, corporate venture capital, and post‑merger integration from his previous leadership roles at Deutsche Bahn AG.

Regional appointments

AD Ports  has also appointed three executives to lead Noatum Logistics’ regional operations. Thorsten Pook, managing director for the Middle East, brings more than 30 years of international logistics experience, including senior roles at CEVA Logistics and Kuehne + Nagel. Samad Osman, managing director for Africa, has over two decades of leadership experience at Hapag‑Lloyd, AP Moller Group, Kuehne + Nagel, and OMA Group, with a background in expansion and operational development across more than 30 African markets.

 

Roberto Moreno, managing director for Latin America, adds extensive experience in the Americas, having served as CEO for Canada and Latin America at DB Schenker and holding senior roles at DB Schenker Brazil, DAMCO, and Kuehne + Nagel.
